Acrylic and gesso on bedsheet, 290x160cm

This painting evokes the deprivation of privacy experienced by the homeless, using the bedsheet as a paradoxical symbol of a now-lost domestic sanctuary. Through an intrusive high-angle view, the artist places the viewer in the position of a voyeur, highlighting the constant exposure of these individuals, for whom the private act of resting becomes a public scene. It is a plea for human dignity, reminding us that shelter is not merely a roof, but the vital right to remain unseen.

It was created for the collective exhibition “Là où les vies se croisent” (Where lives intersect), an event organized by the Arty Show agency to benefit the charity Les Bureaux du Cœur, held at La Gaîté Lyrique, Paris, in January 2026.
