Located in the Tevragh-Zeina district of Nouakchott, the Zeinart Gallery is one of the few and most important spaces dedicated to contemporary art and design in Mauritania. Founded by the artist Isabel Fiadeiro, this hybrid space serves as an exhibition gallery, artists’ residence, and craft shop. It offers a peaceful setting to showcase the work of the country’s painters, visual artists, designers, and artisans, while building bridges between traditional know-how and modern creation. A true cultural crossroads and a catalyst for empowerment for many local female artists, Zeinart also hosts farmers’ markets, bringing producers and the public directly into contact.
