In a former convent, slated for renovation to become a shared apartment for seniors, Sébastien Bouchard was invited to a residency to create an immersive, full-room work. Entitled “Higher,” the work evokes mystical ecstasy, space exploration, and animist devotions through techniques as diverse as painting, fabrics, and modeling.
